Trauma-Informed Participation & Consent
At Soulful You, we are committed to creating spaces that are relational, consent-based, and trauma-informed.
This means we recognize that many participants are navigating experiences related to religious trauma, identity harm, nervous system overwhelm, or chronic stress. Our work is designed to support awareness, agency, and integration without forcing disclosure, catharsis, or emotional intensity.
By participating in our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Choice & Agency
Your participation is always voluntary.
You may choose how much or how little you share.
You may opt out of any practice, prompt, or conversation at any time.
Silence, observation, and pacing yourself are valid forms of participation.
Scope of Support
Our offerings are educational and coaching-based, not clinical or therapeutic.
We do not provide diagnosis, treatment, or crisis intervention.
Trauma-informed does not mean trauma-processing in the absence of licensed care.
Nervous System Awareness
You are encouraged to notice your own capacity, boundaries, and limits.
You are responsible for regulating your participation in ways that feel safe and supportive for you.
You are encouraged to seek outside professional support when needed.
Community Responsibility
In group and community spaces, confidentiality is requested but cannot be guaranteed.
You agree to engage respectfully, without pressuring others to share or heal in specific ways.
Proselytizing, fixing, diagnosing, or overriding another person’s lived experience is not permitted.
Right to Pause or Withdraw
You may pause, step back, or leave any space without explanation.
Leaving or disengaging does not reflect failure, resistance, or lack of commitment.
Your autonomy is honoured at all times.
Participation in Soulful You indicates informed, voluntary consent to engage within these boundaries.
