the soulful you
Sanctuary
you did something brave …
You left. And now you are figuring out what comes after.
The Soulful You Sanctuary is a free community space on Discord for people healing from religious trauma and navigating deconstruction. It is lightly facilitated, intentionally slow, and genuinely held. There is no right way to be here. Your nervous system sets the pace.
what this space is
A soft place to land
“You don’t need to perform your healing to belong here”
This community exists to support connection, integration, and healing after leaving church culture. You are welcome to observe quietly, participate actively, or move slowly between the two.
You will find validating posts, reflective prompts, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of how Bre moves through her own healing too. This is not a performance space. Advice-giving is opt-in, not assumed. You are not expected to share your whole story.
Many posts are scheduled to create rhythm and orientation. They are invitations, not assignments. Your consent, pacing, and autonomy matter here. You are allowed to take breaks, step back, or engage gently at any time.

Hi there, I’m bre,
Your resident Religious Trauma Coach and Ex-Christian Cult Member.
When I left the Christian cult I grew up in, I had no plans to ever ascribe to any faith.
I never had my own personal spiritual connection to God - I was just trying to walk the straight and narrow line that I had been told was “THE WAY”.
I was able to begin healing through a lot of inner personal work on my own, through therapy and life coaches and by being committed to doing the work even when it was SUPER uncomfortable.
Doing so allowed me to reclaim my relationship with spirituality.
I’m a coach based in coastal Nova Scotia who supports people healing from religious trauma and deconstruction. My framework, the Awareness to Action Method, moves people from recognizing inherited conditioning through reconnecting to their values and into aligned, embodied living.
I am active in the Sanctuary throughout the week while also honouring family time and, you know, sleep. I’m here to build genuine relationships, respond to what I can, and create a space where you never have to explain yourself.
